The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly truth

Yesterday I had some extra time to play during the day… and decided to work on the Druid and find him some nice gear.  So after doing the JC dailies on the Hunter and the DK I went my way into LFG with the Druid… the first one was, the very well hated Occulus.

To my surprise we only needed to replace 1 player from the very first 2 seconds… and 2 more after a wipe caused by someone agroing 1 million drakes.  In the end, we needed two attempts to finally bring down Ley-Guardian Erigos. The outcome: both the achievements (regular and heroic) and some really nice Ring and a Off-Hand for my resto gear. Read more…

Hunter Pet’s

December 11th, 2009 Luis Majin No comments

From day one, well…level 10 to be more specific, Hunters gain the ability to tame pets. The hunters pet is the most distinguishing aspect of the class (besides bringing lots of DPS, of course) and has proven to be one of the first choices that we have to make: ¿do I want a cat or a bear? ¿what types of skin do I like best? ¿which pet do I use for questing? Loot Table from ICC

After looking into the drops from the 3 instances inside Icecrwon Citadel, I can assure that this is my new home :P

Having done the 1st two out of the 3 instances, it seems that they are a nice prelude to something harder.  The best thing so far is how Blizzard has put us in the front seat of an epic story. Being escorted by Jaina has sent me back to the Wrathgate event in Dragonblight… you can enjoy the “lore” as it is revealed.

Now I’m getting prepared to jump into the 3rd one, Read more…

Have been good or naughty?

Patch 3.3 is live and with it we now have a BUNCH of stuff to think about. Either if you are the “hard core raider” or a casual player, you might want to consider paying a visit to Icecrown Citadel (ICC) to find out what Arthas has for you.

Last night I wanted to try a few things, and at the top of my list were the new LFG tool and the new 5 man instances. So, first thing I did was press the “I” key to try the LFG… it looks great and very simple to use, but after 3 attempts I had to abandon de idea of getting into a “Northrend Random Heroic Dungeon” because it crashed on me every time.

With the new dungeons in ICC, the story was a very different one. I just had time to do Forge of Souls but it’s a great experience and the loot in there is everything you wished for Christmas and more. One can tell that Blizzard is trying to get the gear out so we have a better chance when confronting Arthas, and they are doing it since ToC. No one has to stand back and watch… there’s gear for everyone, so go in and grab yours. Hope I can go back and do the other two wings tonight.

In the end, Patch 3.3 for me was much like expected with some nice surprises. And you? Have you been good to Elune and got your wishes? Please leave a comment and let us know how was 3.3 for you.

Hello World! My name is Majinto

December 9th, 2009 Luis Majin No comments

This is supposed to be some sort of introduction, so here I go:

I’m a NE Hunter (as a Main) but my friends know how much of an altoholic I can be. WoW is my first experience with an MMO and it was presented to me by a good friend as “here’s why your wife is gonna kick you behind”. And he was very close… WoW did caused me (still does) great amount of pressure in my marriage, but as time passed by I learned how to keep the balance.

My play style… well I like to raid, but I can’t commit to a tight schedule… so I do it very casually. I enjoy leveling, doing 5 man content, having professions and I really really enjoy those rare moments in which someone ask me to join a 10 or 25 man group to do some raiding.

You can find me @ Draka (US) and I belong to a guild called LegioThirteen.

Now comes the part where I thank Chimi for the confidence he showed by letting me post in his blog… he’s a very brave man, and a good RL friend.
